Restaurant Marumiya

Great kozy and quaint place to eat on the island. The owner was very sweet and made sure we were taken care of. The dishes are pretty authentic and super tasty. Easy walk to from anywhere in the town and good selection.

Great izakaya, the fried tofu and pork belly are delicious!

Food and service were good. The plum from the ocha duke was delicious. Menu is available in English and Chinese as well.

Best food on island, and the only restaurant open too. The price is not bad especially compared to not eating at all.

The atmosphere of this restaurant isn't the best. However, what it lacks in aura, it makes up for in food quality! I had the goya chanpulu, some rafute, and the peanut tofu, and it was all superb! And for a reasonable price tooAfter a day of trekking around the island on a hot summer day, a cold Orion from Marumiya was absolute bliss! I would definitely suggest this to visitors of Zamami!

Had a really delicious pork belly here. The goya champuro was on the other hand not that exciting. You find better places in Zamami village.

Ate here twice!We are vegetarian, and the place has a special menu you can ask for. Very convenient. Food was a little greasy. Prices were reasonable - ~700 for a dish with rice.Be careful with the Bitter Gourd dish. In retrospect unsurprisingly, it is extremely bitter. We ended up eating around it :p.

Great food with affordable price tags. Portions are also above Japan standards. The old Japanese lady was really nice like all the other Japanese people I've met. One might need reservations for dinner but lunch should be fine

When I go to Zamami, I always stop by.There are so many people that we can wait.Photos are cheaper than other menus at lunch pricesThe amount was low, but I was hungry because I ate it.The thick meat was so tender and satisfying.It was lunch to eat alone, but the food was delicious and I forgot to be aloneI let four people sit on the table alone.I will visit againI miss the food of Marumiya

Very good. One poor elderly lady who was waiting tables was so fast and yet still attentive. Food was very good and great value.

There aren't a lot of places to eat on Zamami; this is one of them. However, the good here is great, the atmosphere is nice and chill also. Will return next time I'm on island.

Great food. Great service. Recommended to me by the Kerama Beach Hotel. As good as any restaurant in Tokyo or New York. Seriously good. Order a bunch of small plates and sample all the goodness.

Delicious Okinawa pork nuggets, curry pork ribs, sashimi, fried tofu and beef salad ~I come to eat in June 2019, and I will come to Ajima Island almost every year, but this time I arranged a motorcycle ride around the island. I ’m hungry to eat and drink here ~

I was able to recommend grandmother of a shop in Ama Beach.Everything I asked was delicious.It was a vegetable soba sauce that came out at the lunch of the next day, and I want to stay as soon as I get to the seat gap!

Business is very good, it is recommended to come back after meal time.Tang Yang fried chicken is oversized, and the dish is scared.Bitter gourd is scrambled egg, the taste is flat, it is a home-cooked dish.Fried tofu is very delicious, there is peanut butter inside, you can eat one!Japanese fried noodles are good 👌

There are a lot of Koreans on Jamami Island.Marumiya has not changed much since the first time.It is true that it is not a taste house to discuss the level of food.However, if you feel the characteristic of this island, it is the best restaurant in Zamami.It's about the level of a typical Japanese restaurant and the price is just that. (It's actually a bit more expensive than a Naha home-style restaurant.)Considering all that, there are a lot of restaurants in Zamami nowadays, so it would be better to visit other restaurants rather than just looking for a place like Marumi.

Nice food and excellent service. Cheap lunch offers (choose between two dishes) and an extensive dinner menu.

The best restaurant on the island I would say. Many options (sashimi, noodles, ramen, tempura, fish...), very nice staff and good atmosphere. They have set menu for lunch, also in english. Definatelly recommended for dinner or lunch.

Tasty, fresh food and attentive service. When we were there it was very busy. We enjoyed lots of delicious sashimi, Okinawa specialty foods, and some unique dishes. Note: it is a smoking restaurant and it's not super big so the air was a little smoky.

A good place on the island for dinner. Soki soba - you could kind of say it's Okinawa's version of ramen - is fat noodles and a nice piece of pork in a light broth. If you've had Hawaii saimin, the flavor is very similar.

Katsu do and miso ramen are very good. Place gets crowded for dinner so better make a booking. Owner could make an effort in terms of decor.

The food here is good. Not expensive and the service is really fast. The staff is smiling and helpful.The Go-ya champuroo is good as always, however it was cut into tiny pieces, we needed a spoon to eat it 🙊

It is the only restaurant that can eat a lot of reasonable and delicious dishes in Zamami Island. I also went to other shops, but it was expensive! 9/12/2019They had pork belly set and チャンプル(meat veggies egg and rice mixed together) for lunch. 700 yen. The pork belly was good but maybe the soy sauce taste was too strong for me (and I’m Japanese). The チャンプルー on the other hand was nice. You get iced tea or coffee with the set as well.

Four people from our group ordered 4 staple foods, plus a plate of fried bitter melon, fried tofu, a total of 4,000 yen, the price is very good. Stir-fried bitter gourd will not suffer, bitter gourd is soft, and fried with luncheon meat, not quite the same as Taiwan. Island fried tofu is very special, mustJapanese fried rice ~ sticky, full of sesame oil味增拉面~ will not be very salty, ordinaryStir-fried vegetables to eat ~ finally eat vegetables

Recommended by the owner of the accommodation, I came to the squatter house, a restaurant with a local flavor in Okinawa, and also a friendly display of the Chinese menu. Whether it is Okinawa pork ribs noodles, fried bitter gourd stone, Okinawa fried tofu, it is quite delicious, it is very easy to enjoy. Meal time.

When I was there during my holiday. I went to this restaurant many time in that trip. Though there are many restaurants on Zamami island, I like restaurant Marumiya the most. Sells proper meal, many choices, good food, friendly and cheap! I could go everyday if I stay longer.

Food is incredible, unique, and moderately priced. The restaurant is chic. They close a bit early.
